a pair of simple adjustments, handicappers can obtain reliable
pace ratings for sprints from the running lines of one-turn miles. No adjustment to the 4F fractional time Convert the adjusted times to a pace rating by the standard PDQ Pace procedure described in the Methods Section. Rate the pace of the race, the final time of the race, and the final position of the horse.
