1. The good races All horses
2. The last running line claiming horses
3. The 2nd running line claiming horses
4. The last six races non-claiming horses
5. Layoff horses 1st and 2nd "Good" races before
6. Wet tracks layoff Use races in slop and mud, and wet-fast surfaces
7. Grass races Use most recent "Good" grass

REMINDER
Finding the representative races and ratable races is essentially an intuitive skill that develops with experience. Rigid rules do not apply.

As a rule, use the last running line and the next-to-last running line whenever possible, especially when evaluating claiming horses and horses aged 4-and-older.
