Horses making a change today can frequently be supported, do win frequently enough, and typically pay more generous prices than they should.

Sprinters do stretch out successfully to longer races. Many horses switch from dirt to grass effectively. Many horses that have never raced in the slop or in mud do so successfully. Many fillies do beat males. Many three-year-olds do beat older horses.

Many horses carrying more than 120 pounds for the first time do win.

Many horses do win at distances they have never attempted before.
