QUINELLAS Quinellas require the bettors to select the finish one-two in either order. Quinellas cost half the exacta and should pay half the exacta. When the quinella pays less than half the exacta it's a poor bet. When the quinella pays more than half the exacta, it's a good bet. Use

longshots. The
Exacta/Quinella Double Whenever handicappers want to combine a favorite and a longshot or a low-priced horse and a high-priced horse in an exotic bet, they should play (a) the longshot on top of the favorite in the exacta and (b) both horses in the quinella. Handicappers have a chance to cash all the bets as overlays. These situations arise every racing day. It's important to combine low-priced and high-priced horses intelligently.
